A few weeks ago I shared my breastfeeding journey with you all, and I am happy to say that I made it to almost month three of breastfeeding Bryce. It has not been easy, but it is such a rewarding feeling knowing that I am nourishing my baby. I honestly feel like a walking milkmaid, but that’s ok.

What a beautiful blessing it is to create life and nourish life. I am currently eight weeks postpartum, and I am excited that this week also marks Black Breastfeeding Week. Black Breastfeeding Week was created because, for over 40 years, there has been a gaping racial disparity in breastfeeding rates. So this week is to help build awareness and get other women of color thinking and speaking about breastfeeding.

I can’t believe it has been two weeks since moving to Atlanta and six weeks since Bryce made his debut. To say I have had a busy past month would be an understatement. But I am glad that the family and I are finally getting settled.

Shopping for a baby boy has been really exciting. It is a nice change of pace from looking at pink, purples, tutus and sparkly outfits all of the time. I am really enjoying the mix-up! With about 4 weeks to go until Baby Bolden’s arrival, I wanted to make sure I had all of the essentials for him! I was blessed to be able to get a ton of things from our buy buy BABY registry but for the little outfits and other essentials, I visited my local buy buy BABY to pick up everything else I needed. 

At 11:30 am on July 2nd, I woke up with pain in my stomach. I shook it off as just Braxton hicks, but as the pain increased, I knew something was up. I stood up and walked into the living room where Ernest was playing his video games. I said, "Bae, I think I am having contractions!" He advised me to lay back down and to rest and see how I felt. After I relaxed, I started to count my contractions more closely

Baby Bolden will be here in less than a month and a half, and we are beyond excited! Once we found out we were having a boy, I knew exactly what the theme for our baby shower would be! Since Ernest and I are huge basketball fans, it was only right that we celebrate the newest addition to our Bolden Team with the #BabyBoldenDraftParty.

I am coming off of a great weekend staycation in DC with Airbnb! With the busy holiday  season quickly approaching, it was so nice to just get away with Ari, relax in a beautiful space, and enjoy each other. We stayed at a beautiful two bedroom condo right in the heart of City Center DC. The space is modern, with beautiful finishes.

I am coming off of such an epic girl’s trip weekend to the Bayou Classic in New Orleans with my mom and daughter Aria! It was such a fun and much needed trip in partnership with One Time In New Orleans. My girls and I had the opportunity to spend a nice weekend in New Orleans, experiencing the Bayou Classic and of course all of the fun that NOLA offers!

I can honestly say, it has been a great year for Women Of Color. I am so proud to see how Women of Color have excelled in their respective fields. Whether it's politically, at the corporate level, entertainment industry or entrepreneurship, we are killing it! I am so proud to be a black woman in 2018.

It feels good to get away and relax with no stress about work or other priorities. That is exactly what we did last week at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Baltimore! We had our first family staycation at this beautiful hotel and we loved it. We spent one day and one night relaxing, recharging and spending quality time together. 

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Soul food Sessions The Table is Set: A four-city tour served with a Coke event in Baltimore Maryland. If you are not familiar, Soul Food Sessions is a nonprofit started in 2017 to break stereotypes and enhance opportunities for African American chefs. Soul Food Sessions offers a unique dining experience that features African American chefs' diverse culinary skills.

This week, I had the pleasure of previewing the new Homesense store in Columbia, Maryland before the grand opening on 6/28! I must say, the store is a complete DREAM!! If you don't know, Homesense is a part of the TJ Maxx family and it is the sister store to Homegoods! I am already a TJ Max and Homegoods fan, so I knew I would LOVE this store.

My family means the absolute world to me. I thank God every day that I can wake up to an amazing, faithful and loving husband and a daughter that is full of life, love, and joy. On this Father's Day, I reflect on how important daddy/daughter relationships are.

I hosted my very first meet and greet in Jacksonville a few weeks ago!! I do not know what took me so long to do this. But I was traveling to Jacksonville for work, and I had one whole Saturaday to myself, so I thought; why not meet up with some of my BOLD women!!

The Animal Kingdom is definitely one of our favorite parks. Aria loves to visit the African Safari! This is definitely a must see ride/attraction for the kids! They will love getting up close and personal with some of their favorite animals!

On our second Day at Disney, we had the opportunity to explore Disney Hollywood studios! This is one of my favorite parks because this is where you will spot all of your favorite characters!

In this post, I will be recapping our day at Epcot! Epcot is definitely one of the favorites for adults! We started with dinner at the Living Seas, which was really nice intimate private dinner for the Disney Moms Group! The kids got to gather and watch the fish and sharks swim up close and personal!

We ended the trip by visiting Disney Springs. We had dinner at Honecomin’ (which was AMAZING) and then we took the kids to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!

I am so excited for this upcoming Memorial Day weekend!! My family is coming into town from Philadelphia and we will be hosting a cookout at our local park here in Baltimore!

I seriously just came back from Atlanta, LA, Tallahasee, Jacksonville, and Philly, all in one week! Whew, your girl is TIRED!! But it is definitely exciting being able to travel and do the things I love!! The grind never stops with me, and I will be back on the go once again!! 

So I just have to tell you guys how I am definitely feeling myself in my new underwear!! A few weeks ago, I went into Macy’s to have a professional bra fitting. I have been in search for new undergarments that will offer me comfort, support and style!

This past week we had a Bolden Family date night compliments of Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in DC! It was our first family date night  since we saw the Black Panther movie last month. We had such an amazing time at Del Frisco’s! The food and the service was AMAZING!! Of course, I had to have filet mignon.

Spring is right around the corner and we are counting down the days until Easter, Easter egg hunts, and Easter baskets!! I told myself that I will not wait until the last minute to make Aria's Easter basket, so we ventured to our local candy store to pick up some goodies to taste test some goodies to add to the list for the Easter bunny!

The day is here!! I am so excited to share with you; my FIRST collaboration with ONYX BOX!! If you do not know what ONYX BOX  is, it is the first all-in-one beauty subscription box dedicated to Black Women. The box mixes beauty, hair, skin and sometimes fashion accessories in one box each month. I am so honored and excited that they reached out to me to curate my own box for my audience!!!

I can't believe we are less than a week away from Christmas! As you know from my last post, Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love spending time with my family and celebrating this amazing holiday.
