Celebrating Our Anniversary at the Gaylord Opryland Resort

This past weekend Ernest and I celebrated our eighth anniversary! I honestly cannot believe it has been eight years already. It seems like just yesterday we were walking down the aisle. Now we have two kids- wow, life is a blessing. For this anniversary, we wanted to treat ourselves and get out of the house. Like most of you, we have been stuck in the house bored for the last half of the year, and we were in desperate need of some alone time together.

  We ventured to Nashville to stay at the luxurious resort of Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. The Gaylord Opryland is a luxury resort by Marriott, located in Nashville, Tennessee. This was our first time visiting Nashville. We were so excited to experience a new city and a beautiful resort.

When we arrived at the Gaylord Opryland, we checked in and immediately noticed their service and cleanliness. At the entrance, I was greeted by a staff member sitting at a table to help assist guests with sanitization and masks. All guests and staff were required to wear a mask, which was comforting to know and essential for everyone’s safety.

 The resort is massive- it looked like a huge rainforest with acres of indoor gardens, plants, flowers, a cascading waterfall, and a pond. Every corner was so picturesque.

 After getting checked in, we were excited to get to our room! We stayed in a beautiful junior suite, which was nice and spacious. It had a living room area off of the bedroom, which I loved having that extra space. The rooms were clean and came equipped with plenty of hand sanitizer.

The resort features their Soundwaves upscale water experience, four acres of indoor and outdoor water attractions. I absolutely loved everything about their water experience. Ernest and I felt like big kids riding on the water slides, playing basketball in the pools, and catching the waves in the pool! With all of the water fun, it is definitely a place where people of all ages will enjoy themselves!

The dining options at the Gaylord are excellent. There is a place for everyone to enjoy. We loved having dinner at the Cascades American Café. This restaurant is situated right in the atrium, where you will be in the heart of it all.

We also had the opportunity of enjoying the spa services, which was excellent and so relaxing. This resort has everything you need for a peaceful stay. Their award-winning Relacha Spa offers several services that will have you feeling great! Ernest and I both received a deep tissue massage and loved every minute of it. I also truly loved visiting their state of the art fitness center every morning. With being on a fitness journey and working out daily, it was important to me to get that time in, and their fitness center had it all!!

Overall I am so grateful that we got to experience the Gaylord Opryland. We had such a fantastic time, and I cannot wait to visit again and bring the kids! They will love it.
