Creating The Ultimate At Home Virtual School Space

Like most parents, we have been virtual homeschooling for the past few weeks, and honestly, we have adjusted quite well- but it is still challenging work! For virtual school, Aria has been working from the dining room table, and honestly, it was not the best for her. She would either get distracted by her baby brother running around or simply not have the organized space she needed to get her work done. That is when I knew I needed to create her room for an effective online learning experience.

We have a huge basement, and one of the rooms in the basement has been left empty for quite some time because we did not know what we wanted to put in it. And now, with virtual school- it pretty much decided for us! I knew this would be the perfect space for Aria to work in on a daily.

I partnered with Crate and Kids to bring this space to life! I wanted to create a school environment that would be comfortable yet inspiring for Aria to learn and study daily.

I love that Crate and Kids have modern, functional, and stylish furniture that can be perfect for a study room or a playroom! I was able to pick up several shelving units to organize all of her books and supplies.

I opted for a play table for her to sit at for her work because it can transition well from work to arts and craft projects.

I wanted to create a space that she can explore and want to do her work. I added a comfy and fun chair that she could sit down and do her daily reading. I added a whiteboard for when I have to teach, or if she wanted to draw or write out her assignments.

She loves her space so much! I am glad that I could make this space for her and make virtual learning a little more fun! If you are homeschooling, I would highly recommend creating an area, corner, or nook in your home where the kids can have a place to focus on just their work. It has helped us a lot and has made virtual school more manageable.
