Top Apps For Homeschooling During The Quarantine

top-educational-apps-for-homeschooling-during-Quarantine

It is week three of homeschooling and I think I am starting to get the hang of this thing. I am not going to lie, my patience was worn thin the first two weeks. Honestly, it was just me adjusting to this new life of being a teacher, mom, entrepreneur, chef, maid, and the list goes on and on. During the school year, we normally work on school work for about 30 minutes in the evening. But having to do a curriculum is something new for us all!

Aria’s school has implemented remote learning, and we have been doing classwork online. Additionally, I have her working on apps and workbooks that I purchased from Amazon. So in this post, I want to share what resources we are using during this time and why we love them. I also have a favorite app for baby Bryce that we use often.

Apps and Websites

Epic-Ebook Subscription
This app is great because it gives you access to thousands of books and basically brings the library right into your home. The library has so many great book options for kids of all ages so I use it for both Aria and Bryce. The app is simple to use so Aria can easily navigate it. It also gives the kids the option to have books read out loud to them. We also love using the Epic app to spend time reading to each other.

Bed Time Math
Similarly to how we read to our kids at night, Bed Time Math app delivers daily word math problems for children to do with their parents during bedtime. Each math exercise centers around a short story or interesting fact and at the end of the story, it asks a math question which your child can answer depending on their education level. I love that this is a way to make math fun and we incorporate it into our bedtime routine.

 Hooked On Phonics App
This app is one of my favorites because it taught my daughter how to read at a very young age. It provides phonics lessons and also reading at each level. If you are looking to strengthen your child’s reading skills this is a great app to use daily.

 ABC Mouse
We love using this app because it makes learning fun. My daughter is able to “play” while learning various subjects while going on exciting challenges and games.

 Kinedu- for Babies
It is a baby developing app that allows you to help your baby learn and develop through activities and playtime. My son is 8 months and we have been using the app for the last 4 months. It gives me daily activities to help stimulate his mind and development. The app has great information for parents and really helps with interacting and engaging with your baby.

Amazon Workbook and Resources
Check out my Amazon Storefront for some of the resources we are using during this time. My daughter is in Kindergarten so the resources are for children ages 5-7 for grades Kindergarten to first grade.

I hope you continue to stay safe at home with your little ones!

With Love, Passion, and STYLE,
Dayna
