3 Ways I Stay Motivated When Running My Business
I can’t believe it has been a year since I left my corporate job to start my business. I am not going to lie, this year is flying by!! The main reason why this year is going by so fast is because I literally have been on the move. My business has been non-stop, in a great way! Running a business is not easy, and there’s days when I question myself and what I am doing, but I keep pushing and I stay motivated.
In today’s post, I am excited to partner with Saucony to share how I run my world as an entrepreneur while staying motivated in chasing a dream.
First, let me start by saying I have been obsessed with these Saucony original shoes! I love how comfortable they are. I can literally wear them casually or dress them up. Whether I am running from meeting to meeting, or running errands for my household; choosing comfort and style is something that is important to me. These shoes give me the best of both worlds.
I can honestly say, I am at a point in my business where I have meetings every single day! So keeping up with the high demands of entrepreneurship can be overwhelming at times, but with one year under my belt, I have stayed motivated by a number of things, but below I am sharing my top three!
Writing Down Goals
There is just something about writing down a goal, seeing it daily and then attaining it! I have always been a competitive person, so being able to look at my goals and work so hard to get it is so motivating to me! I love crossing things off of a list. No matter if the goal is big or small; being able to write it down and see what I have achieved has helped keep me up-beat and positive.
Surround Yourself Around Like-minded People.
My tribe is very strong! I have built close friendships with other women in the same industry as me because these women push me daily and they understand what I am going through because they are going through it too! I love that I have someone to turn to when I need an extra push! Keeping like-minded people around you is a major key in this journey. I have also built an online tribe of women that I consult that inspires me daily. If you do not have a tribe of people that you can turn to, consider joining a mastermind group or other business groups that will surround you with entrepreneurs or people in your industry.
Treat Yourself
Most of the time as an entrepreneur, we get so head-down and focused 110 percent on the business, which is understandable. But for me the only way I can continue to be good for my business is if I am good to myself. When I accomplish something major, or if I accomplished a goal, it feels good to be able to treat myself to something. It doesn’t always have to be something of monetary value, it can just be time for self-care and relaxation. Treating yourself is definitely a way to stay motivated, positive and ready to continue to run the world!
No matter what motivates you, staying positive in this journey will get you through any ups and downs you may face. As an entrepreneur, we are walking in our purpose, so it is important to remember how much of a blessing it is, embrace the process, stay motivated and keep going!
